I’m not sure just when the idea came up but at some point my husband decided to “live a year of Martha.”
“What does that mean?” I asked.
His reply – he planned to follow Martha Stewart’s monthly calendar for a year. Immediately I had visions of him planting and pruning hundreds of trees, hiking up Mt Cadillac at dawn, traveling to antique fairs to pick up some special green pottery. Then reality set in. “I’ll do it my way, reinterpret the activities,” he said.
I truly embraced the idea when I took a peek at the January calendar and spotted such heart warming tasks as “Clean and wax floors, January 6” and “Polish copper cookware with lemon juice and coarse salt, January 23.”
This is going to be good.
